Upright memorials come in a wide variety of styles, shapes, sizes, finishes and granite colors. The horizontal tablet headstone is wider than it is high and is set on a base. Added features may include side tablets, called “wings,” and there can be vases or urns on one or both sides. The vertical tablet is tall, as the name implies, and is set on a base. A tablet set on a granite foundation without a base is called a monolith.
